Oh God yes!

I grew up watching him (and Ade Edmondson) in Adder, Bottom, Young ones & Statesman. Even went to see the Bottom live show in The Point many many years ago. Richard Richard and Eddie Hitler! Loved his style of comedy.

A brother of mine has a bleak depressing job and learned whole bits of Bottom off by heart to amuse himself of a night. RIP Rik Mayall. Feeling a bit teary eyed thinking of The Young Ones.:(

I loved Bottom!

I was literally making dinner today and was reciting some of the funny lines that appear in Bottom, in my head. Then a few minutes ago I look at some news online to hear about Rik's death.

went to see them in the point years ago and had front row seats..the two of them really were something to behold .....at one point the attention was on ade at the far side of the stage and rik was over our side ....he leans over the stage to where we were and mouthed "smashing blouse you have on" to my sister
