    Hi,

My daughter has turned 16 recently and we are looking into getting her a scooter or small (100cc) motorbike. Let's assume she has her IBT done, do people have any idea what sort of insurance premium she would be looking at?

    Thanks,

    Prof

    http://www.libertyinsurance.ie/

Put in her details here and get an idea from the online quote.

I cant imagine any of the other insurers will give a competitive quote to a learner so young with zero no claims.

It doesn't seem too bad for a starter.

Have you looked at what helmet, boots, pants, jacket, gloves will cost ?
Will your daughter wear the full gear ?

That's less than I paid for a 125 at 23 what did you put as rider training? Level 1 or 4?

I left the rider training blank. Remember this is dependent on her having the IBT. Also, you're a guy and we all know they heavily load premiums for guys (or used to .... it's illegal now). Actually I am assuming you're a guy ... sorry.

    €2100 on a 50cc worth €1000 when I was 18... still makes me cringe!
