Heard a rumour that there are 2000 tickets held back for the general sale in the morning.

I heard that too but I also heard that nothing was being held back

got 2x €100 in block M towards the front. Expensive for seats that far back but sure its expensive for UFC tickets anywhere. And its costs a bomb to get all the stuff over here, same with concerts etc

There will definitely be tickets held.

No idea who to believe but I heard the pre sale was 2000 tickets and the rest are for tomorrow.

Way more than 2000 sold in presale thats for sure.

Its more likely that there were at least 2000 in each presale. That is 2k for fight club, 2k for O2 and 2k for Newsletter.
Defo way more than 2000 total sold over the last two days. Im sure SBG sold a truckload to their members as well before any of the presales.

Folks I feel like I'm talking to a brick wall...

Will there be tickets held? Maybe. And maybe not. At the end of the day there is no benefit to the UFC in that.

But what bugs me is people on here proclaiming there are "definitely" tickets held for the general sale, and quoting numbers etc.

Has anyone actually got solid evidence of experience of tickets being held for the general release? Because I have twice had definite evidence of a UFC event selling out in the presale alone.

I know Ireland is a damn sight smaller market than Vegas, but don't underestimate how much bigger the UFC is now that it was 5 years ago, and there's the Conor factor.

I'd just hate to see someone hold off til the general sale for tickets and end up screwed.

This is not a dig at anyone, and I hope I'm wrong.

Ticketmaster on either twitter or fCebook confirmed that there are tickets available tomorrow. How many they will have isn't confirmed but they have tickets and some will be on sale in the morning.

Ticketmaster are linked with stubhub. The more traffic they direct to their own site, the more business they will hope to redirect to stubhub when it sells out.

As I say, I have a lot of experience with Ticketbastard and with the Fight Club.

Both are useless, and both are lying hoores.

    Don't trust either of them.

Seated capacity of the o2 is 9,500 - there will 100% be tickets tomorrow, the general sale is probably the biggest one

I heard from a friend who spoke to somebody in ticketmaster that there is only a couple of hundred left and that you can't buy at a ticketmaster outlet only online

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 213 ✭✭Callanutd

Yeah its confirmed that you can only buy online tomorrow. That is direct from Ticketmaster.

And there is my point in a nutshell.

    Vague speculation reported as fact.

The Mandalay Bay holds around 14,000 and sold out in about an hour, all during the presale. General release never got a sniff..

Proof of the MB selling out in the pre-sale?

    Working a treat reporting the ads on donedeal. Asshole touts;

"Thank you for taking the time to bring this ad to our attention.

This ad has now been removed from our site and notified the seller.

I was buying. And I was regular on the Fight Club forum, lots of people missed out despite being FC members. The touts had a field day. I ended up spending $300 on a seat after going in looking for $100s.

    http://www.cagepotato.com/commoners-priced-out-ufc-100/

Says here that some lasted to the presale, I suspect that was the occasional single or cancellation. I remember FC members trying the newsletter presale after the FC one had sold out and still ended up with nothing.

Either way it should dispel the notion that tickets are always kept for he general release, let alone the majority as some have claimed.

Either way we'll find out tomorrow I guess. Regardless, I think it's crazy passing up a ticket today in the hope of getting a better one tomorrow. I didn't get the tickets I wanted today but I took what I was offered without hesitating. There will be an awful lot of disappointed people tomorrow. And the touts will have a field day.

Not a chance would I pass up a ticket today for the slim chance of maybe getting one tomorrow.

So many people will be lining up for the last few remaining tickets, i'm guessing they will go in 10-15mins

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,364 ✭✭✭B_Rabbit

TICKETS NOT ON SALE THROUGH TICKETMASTER AGENTS.

    ONLINE ONLY.

The newsletter ones were gone in 3 mins today. I'd say even less tomorrow

I finished work (Nights) at 7am yesterday morning, went for a short nap when got home, was gonna wake for the 10am FC presale, woke at 11 and all tickets under 100 had gone, tried again this morning, gone again.

I could have bought the 150euro one's but at 300 for the both of us no way am i paying that, hopefully pick some up nearer the date but if i don't i aint gonna lose any sleep.

Am i pissed off? Slightly, due to the fact that people without a fcukin clue of MMA have got tickets just to be 'with' it, am i gonna lose any sleep? Nah, it's been a long time since i fell for Zuffa's trap of paying big money for poor cards

I spent 45 minutes on ticketmaster this morning searching for tickets. I got what I was looking for once (2x€75 tickets) after about 15 minutes, but lost them when i didnt have a ticketmaster account, username and password. Despite searching for another 30 mins constantly, I was not offered any more tickets.

Setting up an account tonight in the vague hope of actually getting general release tickets

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,354 ✭✭✭Sean Quagmire

^^ Jaysus yeah that happened me. prompted me to set up an account right before paying for the tickets. went through the whole set up then realised i had an account. god only knows how i guessed my old password and got in time to buy the tickets. WHY THE FCK DON'T THEY TELL YOU BEFORE THAT YOU NEED TO BE LOGGED IN?!

Good luck getting tickets lads shame to see genuine fans miss out

Refreshing to see that Done Deal have done the admirable thing and removed those ads. Also refreshing to see sound people sell tickets at face value.

I'll keep my ear to the ground too. Local barman I get on very well with is big into MMA and knows some people from Ryano/SBG. I'll be heading down in a bit for a pint with a mate. If he's working I'll ask him and get back to you lot if there's any floating about.

Anyone know if you need to do that Verified by Visa thing when buying tickets with a card?

Got my tickets anyway. Never been to a UFC PPV before.

Will we see the likes of Chuck the Iceman Liddell and Ken Shamrock at this? Or is it just that Irish fella?
