Paid 249 euro for a timing chain tensioner and diagnostics for an oil leak today. Has to go back next week for oil filter housing gaskets... Another 343 euro... Great week this is turning out to be! Anyone have any idea if 342 is outrageous for this? I'm not sure how much work is involved to be honest?

Anyone ever have this feature on a car,
When a trailer is connected to my golf when you start the engine it beeps twice to tell you a trailer is connected lights wise I mean. Then when you put on your indicators it beeps a slightly different time to the indicator noise but in sync to tell you the trailer indicator is working.

The noise is slightly different to an indicator noise and comes from the back of the car so you can tell the difference. When I looked at the manual it's a standard feature and seems to be on most vw stuff. I never heard of it before I got the car. It also said in the book that if there is a blown bulb on the trailer the display will tell you ie as though the trailer lights are part of the car lights. Gold feature overall but surly it would be more useful for vans rather than cars.

2 litre engine on the book probably

Can you actually get away with that, though? Surely every second Cruiser would be the same if that were the case?

They certainly wouldn't be any worse than a petrol rav4. I know a lot of people who have them landcruiser a and always get early 30 mpg which is as economical as an jeep it's size will be. The auto version would be a bit harder on diesel but that's the case with most thing.

    Is that true?

If so, a (commercial) cruiser may well find it's way onto my radar :D

(Edit: as an aside, i get low 20s in the Rav!)

Around 23mpg according to every owner of one that I filled with diesel, when I worked at a fuel depot. Thirsty brutes

Spent my evening trying to configure an adhoc network then troubleshoot why network manager wasn't working.... Now my (drunkenly purchased) new linksys adapter refuses to work!

I has things to do you know

Ya ya excuses excuses. The front end of the 206 isn't looking too groovy. Took off the grille and headlights, but the feckers are so well sealed it's a task and a half to get the glass off. Might just leave it - they will be full of condensation before long if I don't reseal them properly..

Is there a way online to find out when a car was first registered here. More specifically imports.
