What happens if Ryanair flight gets cancelled.

Hello I'm embarking on my first trip next week for three days. I have everything arranged down to the last detail but I am worried what happens if a flight gets cancelled.

I'm going to to Europe with Ryanair and my flight home leaves around 11. It's important I get home as I'm working that evening but I was wandering what happens if the flight gets cancelled all of a sudden? I'm scared to get stuck in another country. Do Ryanair put you on another flight? Is it worth getting their travel insurance?

I have left about €180 aside in case I need to book another flight home but will that be enough? I'm totally out of my comfort zone here and wouldn't fly only I have to.

You dont have to get their insurance but you should have travel insurance.

If they cancel the flight then they will do their best to get you on another one. This could be on another day though so there will be additional costs that are usually funded by you. If you decide to get another flight at short notice I dont think €180 will get you too far considering you might have had to fork out for a hotel for the night too.

Why are you worrying about it being cancelled though? The majority of flights go without any problems but if it is cancelled then there is not a lot you can do about it. Just have additional funds (such as a credit card) and insurance in place should things not go to plan.

It's my first flight anywhere so I'm terribly nervous. I'll be bringing a debit card with me with any cash I have but not much. I'm seeing a doctor and that's the only reason why I have to go.

Id probably just stay in the airport instead of getting a hotel if that would reduce costs. I'm just nervous

What travel insurance would be good for a single trip?

Don't worry OP, flights rarely get cancelled. Just get insurance and make sure you're in the airport in plenty of time as there may be delays at security.

Your EU passenger rights should cover you in the event of a cancellation - which is very rare, so don't worry.
