Got the same mail. It also says further down in the mail under the total cost "This amount has been charged to your card" so I would take that as confirmation?

    True dat.

I am about to ask the same question :).

Can someone, who has received it, please answer?

    Thank you.

These are one of those "special" argos items which are made to order for argos and are worth just about what you pay for them! They are cheap and are usually never genuinely for sale at the previous price given by Argos.

For the King size bed which is advertised as being about one third of the normal price it also states
Please note item 1584295 has previously been on sale at €416.49.

This €416.49 is about the value of the bed which makes it a very cheap bed, You get what you pay for with Argos and the rest of the UK chain stores!

Going by the description this bed would never command a price of €1225 or even half that!

It's good value for me (and the person I'm ordering it for) because it's infinitely better then what it'll be replacing.

Wouldn't necessarily be good value for someone with higher standards than that!

    heres a genuine question.

why would you buy a bed without testing it out first? considering you spend 8 hours a night in the bed and a uncomfortable nights sleep can really mess you up, why take a chance, especially as Argos are known for their poor quality furniture.

Reviews appear to be disabled on the Irish site but some mixed reviews on UK site - see below

Not happy even with sales price , never mind full price -

I'd say these are average quality

Anyone know if the divan would come in a single piece or in 2 pieces? I wouldn't mind getting this for a spare room but I've a 180degree turn in my stairs so it may be difficult to get upstairs if the base is 1 piece.

Ordered one for the spare room. Has to be worth €200 for that.

From the picture looks like it's 2 pieces (but a bit hard to see) I got similar bed couple of years ago and that divan was in 2 parts. You should be able to organize to send it back if it doesn't fit or maybe don't accept delivery, you would be better asking them on 1800 535091

If you order the headboard with the bed you get 20% off - prob a little expensive relative to what you have just paid for the bed but you get the whole lot including delivery for less than €300 & it all matches!!

I called & ordered the headboard after I got confirmation that the bed would be honoured and delivered. I had to asked about the 20% off & the delivery to be included but they did it.

Does anyone know does this bed come fully assemled or does it come apart. I would like to buy however it would be awkward getting up the stairs if it doesnt seperate somewhat?

I believe the base comes in two parts & the mattress as one. Should be easy to move upstairs :)

    Thanks

It was in a different bargain alert thread. It's from bigmickey.ie

I tried to copy the thread to here but a message came up saying that I could not as a new user. It's a very big thread so you should be able to find it.
