How to put a ridewithgps course on a Garmin 800..

    Lads having difficulty loading a course onto my Garmin,
    Never done it before...
    Any help would be appreciated......
    Here is the course...http://ridewithgps.com/routes/3969863.tcx?
    Plugged my Garmin into the computer and downloaded the course...
    When I say I downloaded it I copied it and dragged the download onto Garmin and dropped it into courses,
    I cant see the tcx course on the Garmin but can see it on my computer???

    With the 500 you have to copy it to the new files folder on the Garmin, when you switch the garmin on it converts it to .fit and copies it across to the courses folder. 800 might be the same?

    Perfect that worked....
    Now on the day just start my timer and go to new courses??

    you load your course first then start the timer

    Grand job ill test it tonight to be sure...
    might even get around to reading the instructions for the 800 soon :(

    I found that the .gpx files are better for the turn-by-turn directions. I think ridewithgps lets you export both file types.
