Just a reminder not to be getting carried away with the mock results. A little exam called the Junior Cert isn't too far away. Just because you got an 'A' in the mock, does by no means guarantee that is what the result will be come September. The SEC run a whole different ball game to the likes of DEB and Examcraft, with respect to both the content of the exam and the way in which they are corrected.

The mocks aren't that different to the actual thing (going by the exam papers I have) and once you study using exam papers it's not too tough :) an A in the mocks means someone is more than able for an A in the real thing if they keep the effort up

At least it was the mocks and not the actual exam. There is plenty of time to improve

    Holy ...
80% History (apparently this isn't up to scratch yet I got the highest by over 20%..)
    60% German (6/30 on the postcard like..wtf)
54% Geog (my teacher gave me my exam last, said "hope you're disappointed with yourself" and walked away..how nice)

    So disappointed. D:

Honours everything except Irish and Maths.
Would love to compare my mock results to what I get in the real thing.

Business -56% (Detest this subject with a burning passion, but I could have done better.)

    German - 74%
    English - 71%
Maths - 68% (beyond disappointed with myself. Could have easily received a better grade. Eh, it's only the mocks.)
    Irish - 89%

Hoping to maintain the A's for the real thing, and hoping to bump C's to B's and B's to A's.

Good luck to everyone in June! :)

Well done, you should be chuffed!!! Just don't think that because u got 7 a s in the mocks that u will get 7 a s or more in the actual jc. Thats exactly what happened to a few of my friends. Anyway, well done and keep it up!!! :D

Finally got back everything from the Mocks that were over 5 weeks ago:rolleyes:

HL English 78% B, teacher says that personal opinions in answers will get marks, which I lacked. As well as this my Prose questions on Of Mice and Men in Paper 2 were hit and miss

HL Gaeilge 75% B, all was grand except for 6/15 and 3/15 in the unseen prose and poetry in paper 2 respectively, which hurt my grade.

HL Maths 77% B, actually quite happy with this considering we hadn't done some of the course including Theorems, Trigonometry, and Area and Volume.

    HL History 96% A, can't complain!

HL Business 92% A, I was pleasantly shocked at this considering nothing really balanced or worked out for me in the exam.

    HL Science 99% A, :p

HL Tgraph 88% A, teacher makes out I will have a hard time getting a grade like this in the real thing.

HL Music 84% B, peeved that I fell short of an A by that much. Set works and chosen songs/works let me down a bit.

HL French 83% B, Listening was borderline disastrous but made up for it in comprehensions and written.

    Happy Out!

Still waiting on Business but I could be waiting on that for a while so here they are:
    All subjects Higher Level.

    English - 76% - B
87% in paper 1, 65% in paper 2. I tend to do well in creative aspects of English but when it comes to the studied stuff I don't do as well.
    Irish - 66% - C
Got near full marks in the Aiste and Litir. Got 2/15 in a comprehension and 7/20 in the grammar question which knocked me back below the B I'd say. Cluastuiscint was good.
    Maths - 51% - D
My results tend to be erratic... 81% 2nd Year Christmas, 36% 2nd Year Summer, 66% 3rd Year Christmas. But in general I'm sh1te at Maths and was sure I failed so I was fairly happy. Paper 1 was 42%, Paper 2 was 61%.
    Science - 74% - B
    Geography - 86% - A
    History - 88% - A
I usually get an A in history but after this exam thought I had slipped because I had answered a question with a lovely detailed account of Hitler's 5 steps to war only to realise that's not what was required at all. I had no time to change it but it turns out it would have done for another question so I got away with it...
    C.S.P.E. - 96% - A
The teacher reckons the results are inflated as there were 14 A grades, but I reckon we're just that brilliant at the subject. :D
    Woodwork - 75% - B
    German - 75% - B
Never got below an A in any Christmas or Summer test but this time I spent so much time at the comprehensions putting down way more information than necessary I ended up only having time to do 2 points in the letter. Careless time management that I should hopefully be able to fix by June!
    Music - 80% - B
Although it was the joint highest in the year I was a bit disappointed with the result. I had gotten the only A at Christmas but that was helped by a practical we did that I got full marks in. No practical for the pres which brought the result down I suppose. Only took up music at the start of the year though so I'm glad to have a steady B at the end of the day. :)

Overall I'm fairly happy and think the results are quite solid. Work to be done before the summer though :P I need to learn how to study :O

Don't worry, if anything I'm more determined! I'm still studying and all is going well

    (first post YAY)

    Subject -- Level -- Grade

    English -- Higher -- B (77)
    Irish -- Higher -- D (53)
    Maths -- Higher -- A (88)
    Geography -- Higher -- A (90)
    CSPE -- Higher -- A (86)
    Science -- Higher -- B (75)
    Business -- Higher -- A (85)
    French -- Higher -- B (76)
    History -- Higher -- A (87)
    Tech Graph -- Ordinary -- A (94)

6 A's, 3 B's and 1D (lol). Know where I went wrong in all but made no effort to sort it out, oh well, I'll pay the price over the next two weeks.
