Someone else doing the housework. The other night I was exhausted and my husband did the dishes, cleaned out the cat litter box and handed me a gin and tonic. Sheer bliss:)

    Receiving Post.

I have no idea why, but when I lift up the curtain behind the front door, if there is post I get butterflies in my tummy with the excitement. If I'm upstairs and my OH says to me 'there is post here for you' I run downstairs all excited :-)

    I'm a little strange I think.

When any of my grandchildren run to me on entering the house.

Ah my MIL loves this, my daughter adores her granny.

The grandparent-grandchild relationship is so beautiful to watch.

When you've been eating chips or something salty and you take that first swig of cold Coke.

That first glass of chilled dry white wine on a hot summer's evening.

The smell of freshly washed clothes.

Being able to apply the exact same amount of liquid eyeliner to both eyes and doing the flick thing at the corners and THEY BOTH MATCH!

Coming home from shopping and having full cupboards of treats and things.

That first cup of tea you have when you come home...the second cup never tastes the same.

The first slice of toast in the morning...the second slice never tastes the same.

Swallowing tea after you've eaten some chocolate.

Returning from a sun holiday and Sleeping in my own bed and wrapping the duvet around me..

Love my sun holidays but hate the sweaty sleepless nights getting used to a new bed.

Arriving home from work to receive a letter from the tax man advising you of a 4 figure over payment and refund direct to your account.
    Yay!

2 hour "working" lunch accompanied by half a bottle of wine. Half cut with 2 hours left in work. Happy out on a Monday afternoon.

Just home after a long day. Having toast and a cup of tea, with my feet up.

Got absolutely soaked on way home this eve, had a hot shower and into dry clothes, happy days.

Had a lovely woman in from Dogs Trust to give a speach at college today. She bought along her 5 year old Boxer dog Jake.
He was possibly the most well trained Boxer I've ever encountered. I spent ages rubbing him and he was rolling all over the floor getting belly rubs. Can't beat the affection a dog gives. :)

Sitting in the house on my own in PJ's looking at heavy rain out in the backgarden and just thinking how good it is to be indoors and have absolutely nothing to do for the day. All this done in complete silence.

When I see business people in the park on a summers day with their jackets off and top buttons loose. Feels like everything has slowed down even the working world.

Cooked dinners gone cold when I'm really hungry so I can eat real fast.

An ice cold beer and a joint after a hard day of working.

Seeing my dad reading the newspaper in the backgarden.

Removing a pair of socks that have tight elastic (saying to myself that I should have taken them off ages ago) or pulling out a lace from inside my shoe, especially if it's trapped right under my foot..... Shivers...

patting the ears on my golden retriever and watching him stretch - very funny
getting up early on a Sunday morning and getting lots of gardening done
Seeing the lettuce and onions that I sowed recently grow
playing music and especially hearing a nice tune that catches my breath
