    Hi guys

A bit out of the loop at the moment as I don't go out nearly as much as I used to, but where are people going these days?

From the outside looking in it seems some sort of dance scene phenomenon has taken over and what were once indie strongholds are now pumping dance stuff out :(

Used to be a big fan of Whelans, ridiculously expensive but can safely say I've never had a bad night there.

The Button Factory, and before it the Temple Bar Music Centre used to run great nights, especially on a Thursday like Screamadelica etc.

Thomas Reeds/The Oak downstairs on a Saturday night was always decent, as was the old Isaac Butt on Store Street

    Can't stand Workmans I'm afraid

Pygmalion on South William Street is quite decent for the popular indie scene.

Might be full of kids dressed indie-ish, but don't they just play dance there?

I was there on a Wednesday and it was indie, not too sure about the weekends.

O'Reilly's on Tara St is usually decent if I'm not mistaken, and they do 3.50 drinks on some nights too. Otherwise Doyles and Sweeneys are good spots.
