    Yeah ok

It didn't happen to me. I'm not Deirde that was in the news paper article nor do I know her.

Do you honestly believe this happened?

If you do, bear in mind it's a 2km walk from Croke Pk to Abbey St. Everyone is leaving the stadium at the same time meaning there are guards everywhere. This family would be surrounded by hoards of other families who would have seen what happened but Deidre doesn't mention not one witness.

Do you still, hand on heart, believe it really happened?

Watch out for roving gangs of bleach throwing residents.

I'm always a bit skeptical when I hear or read these stories. Other than "Deirdre" there's not a single verifyable fact in the entire story. Did "Deirdre" make a complaint to the Guards? Or to anyone?

I get flashbacks to the Wire.

    Drowning your sorrows?

I've nothing to be sorrowful over. Summers coming, weathers getting better, concerts coming up, live by the beach. Happy Days!!

If the bogball association refuse to listen to the residents (very valid) concerns in regards to there being too many concerts/disruption/boorish drunken cretins trampling through the area etc,can they not organise some sort of protest to disrupt the concerts themselves?

From what I've heard, it's going ahead. From a very well placed source. Now all I need to worry about is what pub to hit beforehand, and afterwards.

You, amongs others, your filthy mouth... Not nice. I wouldn't fancy having you knocking around my house. I'd rather you would stick around where that type of talk is normal. Wherever you come from.

You don't want people around your house that may use swear words? You must be very lonely.

they can protest, they cannot and should not be allowed to disrupt the concerts with their criminality though

Easy enough to hold peaceful protests by blocking the streets and not allowing the many trucks in with the stage/sound/lighting equipment. Blocking the streets in a safe peaceful manner the way your beloved taxi drivers do, you can hardly complain if the residents do the EXACT same things as the taxi drivers surely? Why would the residents protest be classed as criminality but not the taxi drivers you are so fond of supporting?

    Criminality?

    Do explain.

the concerts will still go ahead, only so long the residents could block the streets before they get moved on, the same thing happens with the taxi drivers

My well placed source tells me your getting your facts from the same place the anglo boys pulled their numbers from ;)

Moved on how? If people decide to hold peaceful protests on their own streets? Park their cars on their own streets? Do you think the guards will send in the riot squad to crack skulls and tear gas them?

yes, because if the residents block the streets the lot could get messy

Residents have the right to peaceful protest and if they choose to exercise that right then the guards cannot stop them. If they decide to go in heavy handed against women and children then that would be the end of concerts in Croke park.

If they block roads, cars will be taken away. Heavy handed, no. Just stopping breaching of the peace.

Licence to be granted this week. Some members of Security have been informed of start times and preliminary roles during past week.

If members park their cars all down the streets then you would need a fleet of tow trucks to remove them, you would also have to vet your tow trucks past the peaceful protesters who are also blocking the streets. Do you go in heavy handed and forcibly remove men women and children? Do you arrest them all and cart them off? Tear gas? Water cannon? Canine units?

why children? what will they have to do with it? unless the residents are that low rent that they will use their children to stop the guardai from doing their job should any violence occur?

Why would violence occur? Have you never seen children at peaceful protest before? It will be right outside their doors so it's not like they will have to travel far for it.

if the residents block the trucks from legitimately removing the cars then the guardai will have no option but to go in heavy handed, if that means being heavy handed against women what other option would the guards have if their told to go in? (children can be removed from this equation as only an idiot would get the children involved in such a protest)

very odd time have i saw children at a protest, its not the right place to bring children

But it won't be the cars locking the trucks from going down the street will it? It will be the PEACEFUL protesters who will be blocking the entrance to the streets. If the residents happen to be bad at parking on those narrow streets then so be it.

You obviously haven't been to many then, even your beloved taxi drivers bring their kids on protests.

if they block the trucks from removing the cars illegitimately blocking the streets they will be removed, that may mean the riot squad being called, bad parking won't be taken as an excuse
