Tried this just now and worked spot on, used Antek file explorer to unzip the file and move to SD card, looks a really good file manager to me. Picked it up through XDA.

I have always used ES File Explorer as it does ftp and lan access as well as root access,

You can now use TWRP if you like as it will boot into the touch recovery once you activated it in Mobile UncleTools :)

Dont forget to do a backup now before you go messing around lol

Never said anything about adjusting memory m8?

In Margeto you can just chose SD card as your default storage medium

Increasing the size using the guide Rossie man posted ages ago, it is quite amusing my shenanigans with this phone.

Know now what went wrong, backed up to the phone rather than a PC back up, novice error so when I formatted the remaining storage it wipedbthe back up.

When you format something it deletes everything.

I'm fairly sure i said that in the walk through.

Why did you have to format it?

I know it was my fault, your run through was grand.
When I got to the format in fat32 that's when everything went I think.

Hope you had a second backup made.

Format means delete everything, just for future reference.

I know that now!! Had pictures saved in a free Dropbox account but lost other media n that, no major issue just time consuming doing a manual re-install of apps etc. Lesson learned.

always more lessons to be learned when flashing ROM's.

It has gotten much easier over the past few years.

    Hi Lads,
Have put a Kitkat 4.4 rom I found on Needrom. Very happy with it. Data speeds have increased for me. It does you a little bit more battery usage. here is a link if anyone is interested. http://www.needrom.com/download/port-srr-kitkat-v3-0-1/

    it's not kitkat.

Just another port. The flexxi port is actually must better. bit buggy though.

This phone was forgotten about really, very little surfaced for it anywhere.

They didn't release the source code for it. All we're stuck with is ports.
most don't work well, so people don't bother creating them.

Stock is grand as far as im concerned. Everything works.

Everyone would love kitkat, it ain't happening though.

Put Margato beta 4 on a few days, battery eater if ever there was a ROM for it.

Anyone still got this? Mines running better than ever.
so hard to think of an upgrade when this is still running perfectly. I don't even have to use my spare battery yet.

Mine is flying as well, no issues whatsoever and the other two in the family same as.

I think I'm emotionally attached to it, just can't get rid tbh.

I'm currently running a samsung based rom, other than the startup music(i changed it instantly), its the best ROM i've been on.
    http://www.needrom.com/download/sansung-touchwiz-note-3-hdmi/

If this had a kernel update, it'd still be an incredibly competitive phone. NEO seem to be awful for updates after release.

Titanium backup is the best purchase i've ever made, too.

Aside from the lack of GPS how was it?

best rom i've been on. Battery life was brilliant. I like to have GPS for running and cycling so its a no go from me.
I love the samsung drop down nav bar.

Are you still on Margato Beta?

Hated that rom, would barely last me a day.

I still have serious trouble getting mine to sleep when screen is off on any rom, pure disaster for the battery. Have to restart a couple of times a day.
