Most business pay play the whole "small irish firm" treat their employees like **** and pay them ****tly. You Lidl or Aldi pays and treats their staff better than your small local business.

Then some of these "small irish firms" have the temerity to feed soundbites to the media about not being able to find "quality staff"...

It's the owner who is French. Only some of the staff are.

This is terrible,I was only in there a couple of weeks ago. It seemed busy,it always seemed busy. I only ate there once, terrible service and I mean terrible, but great cakes! I own a small business myself with a few staff so I am aware of the pressures etc,but you pay your staff....you always pay your staff,if that means going without then you do it. I've been the employee who got stiffed and it's not fun. I've been the employer who can't pay their mortgage and it's not fun either, but I would never expect my staff to suffer. They show up for me everyday and I couldn't sleep if I didn't look after them. That in no way makes me a saint,it's what every employer should do,it's what you owe your staff. Pay them, pay your taxes on them, employ them legally and at least leave them with something if you go belly up. By the same token and I know I'm playing devils advocate here,be a responsible employee. If something isn't right you should be shouting about it. If your not getting paid regularly there's a big problem and continuing on in the hope that you will eventually get what your owed is sticking your head in the sand.

Well said - Cuisine de France make the most bland, tasteless bread I've ever eaten...even their so-called "pastries" are rotten little lumps of hydrogenated fat. Foul produce altogether.

Cusine de France badly need some proper competition.
Truly vile stuff. It is a testament to the lack of sophistication of the average irish palate that this gunge is sold in nearly every convenience store and supermarket in the land.

Ah, the usual jokes being made as ever, despite people losing their jobs.

Why anyone would think it's funny when a business is eclaired bankrupt, I don't know.

    Don't be such a sourdough :)

I'm not surprised it's gone. The service in there was shocking. But sure, pay them anyway. It's hard work ignoring customers.

*I do genuinely hope the staff get their pay after all of this. And then they should all find a new job that they actually like.
