Do you look at other Boards users profile page and if so why?

So opened my profile page earlier and noticed the recent visitorsbox that shows you the most recent posters to look at your profile page. Which got me thinking as to why these posters were looking at my profile page?

The only times i ever really look at someones profile page is usually due to accidentally clicking on their username or so sometimes when i see a familiar poster has been banned or closed their account just as a curiousity to see what their most recent posts were to maybe shed some light on why they got banned or closed their account.

It's only very very rarely i'd go to search through someones post for any other reason.

So for those of you that do, what reasons do you usually look at another users profile page for?

    Where's the poll?

I love surveys for useless vacuous wonderings.

We need to get to the bones of this issue.

    Accidental clicks, in my case.

Like you, by mistake, if I'm trying to click on a post and hit the username by mistake. Must learn to not mash the mouse. :pac:

I don't recall ever seeing anything remotely interesting though.

Accidental clicks all the time as the screen on the iPhone moves as the advert banner loads up. So what you clicked (tapped) on is not what you intended

If someone filled in all the info in the About me section they'd really want a hard lesson on internet security.

Maybe you've been nominated for a private forum and the current members are looking you up to see if you're good enough for them :P

Ive never acidentally clicked through. I might have looked at 5 or so profiles because i thought i might know the user. ive had 344 visitors and i havent directly conversed with most of them.

Accidental clicks, or sometimes I do a bit of detective work if I think I might know someone in real life :pac:

    To point out hypocrisy.

This. Usually accidental clickes, sometimes "detective work", but then I get paranoid about them figuring out who I am if they see I looked at there page :pac:

See my mistake. One user has visited my page.
If I had called my self Tits McGee or 36DD Dora you be all looking.

Same. Only reason I'd ever click someone's profile or *shudder* ads.

That's the reason I never should have called myself that! Too honest
If I called myself Tits McGee I could pretend to be 25 and drive all the young lads here mad:)

You're all a bunch of stalkers, be honest.

Something to do with the number of posts you have, hit a certain target, get another one.

    Subscribers get red stars.

If you subscribe you get those fancy pink stars.

Then I guess it's simply the more posts you have the more stars you get. :)

But you nearly have 5000, I've 800 and something, and we have the same amount of stars...? Bit of a silly system really.

I think 4 stars might be subscribers and 5 stars for mods, admins etc. At least i think thats how it works anyway.
