Demolition Man is one of the awesomest movies of the 90's

Well AH! So the other week, someone started a thread here about the worst movie you'd ever seen twice and suggested Demolition Man, which was wrong because Demolition Man is one of the greatest movies of the 90's and has built a cult following and people all over the world have been installing 3 seashells in their bathrooms ever since.

Anyway, cracked posted this video about how, unlike a lot of other serious sci-fi movies, it made some quite accurate predictions of the future http://www.cracked.com/video_18897_5-eerily-accurate-predictions-made-in-demolition-man.html

    :D

    Demolition Man is a classic

I nominate it for the official movie of After Hours

About time this important topic was brought to light! Demolition Man is a classic. Pure 90s nonsense, love it.

Demolition man is awesome but Total Recall is at least a billion times better.

    Definitely....Colin Farrell was amazing.

    Who will it be

Demolition Man is pure nonsense .... BUT I do enjoy it very much.

It has some of the corniest quips in movie history!

Sly throws a TV at Snipes with the classic "You're on TV!"

I remember seeing this for the first time on TV and thinking it must be a sequel. It now occurs to me what a completely outrageous and awesome idea that would have been. Can you imagine if Lethal Weapon 2 had been set in the future with Riggs and Murtaugh being thawed out to fight crime!?!?

That the one with Sly Starrone going round lighting Dynamite? Or is there another demolition man?

It's a social satire with heavy dollops of the old ultraviolence, and I still like it to this day. About the only part that has me cringing is seeing Denis Leary drafted in to basically rehash his act. On the other hand, there is Sandra Bullock's sex scene with Sly ...

Government resting upon the will and universal suffrage of the people has no anchorage except in the people's intelligence.

John Spartan: You forgot to say Simon Says.

I'd put them up there together ;)

"We're police officers - we're not trained to deal with physical violence!"

All arguments against fail at this point.

Everything I don't like is either woke or fascist - possibly both - pick one.

Sorry, but Point Break is clearly the most awesome movie of the 90's.

Surfing bank robbers and Gary Busey. What more could you ask for in a movie??

Everybody shut up. I've too many streams open on primewire now. I can't possibly watch all these movies mentioned but now I can't stop wanting to. Please shut up.

Anyone else really frustrated about not knowing how the 3 seashells worked?
