The indo really are pushing their anti sinn fein agenda a bit much at this stage. People can see right through it. Won't be voting for the shinners myself, but nearly tempted to in response to the shameless bias of the indo dragging up any old story with which to bash them. We've been in a peace process for 20 years FFS.

is there a moratorium on talking about SF shady past today ? no ?
then dont read the paper and you will be fine.

its healthy to talk about ALL politicians pasts , sure on AH people never shut the funk up about the civil war partys , FG being blue shirts , Collins VS Dev ( the slaughtering :-) )ect ect

so we can mention THOSE people no bother , JUST DONT MENTION THE MURDERS 20, 30 and 40 YEARS AGO

    OK BOSS!!!

    Excellent post.

I remember letting off a smoke bomb in 4th year. Who told you about that?

When used to vote for SF, yes. Yes they can.

So there's a very good chance that the pencil you used came presoiled. Unless, of course, you brought your own.

I'd to use a red colouring pencil in the Netherlands yesterday as that is what the booths come equipped with. Very odd.

In case the RA needed more child murderers?

Maybe if you spent more time making your brain bigger you wouldn't be stuck voting SF

You might get flak if you want to indulge in some child-killing though. Best stick to the IRA

A vote for Sinn Fein is an approval of their past behaviour in my opinion.

As much as a vote for FF is a vote for Dev walking out of the elected Dáil, taking his ball and going home to shoot some free staters?

Or as much as a vote for FG is a vote for them sending people off to help the Nazis?

Each party has very bad things in their past. You do know that there are people voting today that were not even born when the cease fire was announced?

*I am not a SF supporter BTW*

Peace came about in the 90s despite the IRA and their spinoffs, not because of them.

Firstly, you know nothing about me, my education or my academic qualifications,

Secondly, your constant infering that I am in someway or another a bomber is only making you look silly.

What's with the insults anyway? I don't believe I've ever even crossed paths with you before.

Neanderthals had bigger brains than humans, if that's what he's getting at. :)

    Never mind him.

But here's a question for you - and I'm not stirring up stuff, but genuinely interested, because I'm sure you support the GFA, etc, and are in favour of peace, and so on - but the question is this: do you think PIRA's activity was justified?

I mean in your own mind, did you support it? Do you look back on what they did and think in general terms, "Yes, overall they were good guys, doing the right thing, with some regrets about specific things, but there we go"?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but that is an absolute cornerstone of SF policy.

Yes, I am aware of that.

My point is that in thier own time they were viewd as dangeous outsiders.

And yes, Gandhi was VERY MUCH viewed as a terrorist by the British empire. He scared the crap out of them, with good reason. Who could have seen that salt would end an empire? He did.

So now if the Brits say it it's true! Yes? A pity some other people didn't use salt instead of semtex.

This is why they will never get into power. Terrorist supporters and cowards to go with it. This murder was a disgrace.
