Why the hell cant people just practice restraint:(
Is it really so saddening for sweets to be moved to a different part of the supermarket?

Why cant we just let them be kids and stop instilling into them a joyless paranoid PC version of a childhood most of us would have hated

Today I was queuing up with the paper and saw an attractive packet with a penguin on it. White chocolate buttons. I would never have known I needed these in my life if they hadn't been beside the counter.
Soon I'll have to go to a filthy side street in an abandoned industrial estate just to get my hit of Rollos. I'm trying to quit.

Its not. As handy as it was, its no skin to just pick up some sweets while youre already walking around doing shopping. My issue is the fact they should have to resort to such a move under the pressure of complaints when the real problem lies with people who just cannot pass a few bars without buying some, or parents who are incapable of saying no to their children.

Fully agree but the amount of parents who buckle when their child throws a tantrum because they cant have a double mars bar before dinner is shocking. Its easy to let kids be kids but giving them what they want when they want it cab lead to big problems later.

As I said, my mother was well capable of saying no to us as kids in the 80s and she still considered the checkouts a nuisance.
Even if a parent can say no, it's still going to be welcome for their kid not to be badgering them for sweets in the queue for the till. This is the reason for the checkouts having sweets in the first place, they're not just there randomly.

Problems! not only sweets for temptation being sold at the counters/checkouts are the problems being sold in shops but other foods also which are not good for children or people in general.

parents giving into their children demands when they scream for chocolate/sweets to shut them up.

Sweets/chocolate /fizzy drinks are cheap to buy and the healthy foods are not.

People buy a fruit juice for their kids and there is more sugar contents in it than a can of coke .

People are too lazy to make proper Dinners for their kids or for themselves just give them a fattening pizzas or quicky meals which are full of fat .

People making Excuses to buy aloads of **** foods, sweets, fizzy drinks Eg its for a kids birthday any occasions etc they pour alot of packets of chocolates, sweets, biscuits,Bags of crisps ,Fizzy drinks on those checkouts trying to justify it with bull**** excuses.

Take-Aways you go into a town or city and you see a bunch of restaurants more so Take-Aways,chippers ,Greasy/fattening places to eat for a lunch , Kids flock out of the school for lunch like cattle to go these Chippers for their lunches snacking on a BIG Greasy snack box . yuck. Seriously people make your kids a healthy.
