What watch service/ repair in Ireland??

This is probably an age old question, but one I would like an answer to from people with actual first hand experience with the particular watchmaker.

I would prefer to keep the jobs in Ireland, but I so far I have found watchmakers abroad to be cheaper and just more forthcoming with information. Is there a watchmaker here that will freely give you his opinion on your watch for good or bad and tell you what he did to the watch? i.e. showing his interest and you not having to drag it out of him.
And one that does quality work?

    So:
    - Do I have to continue sending my vintage watches abroad, or are there any good watchmakers in Ireland???

Can you give some examples of watches and experience? Not just a name from an advert or Jimmy Joes cousin's friend used Tick Tock Clocks to get a battery replaced and found them good. ;-)

Has anyone used this guy? As I have a Tudor Oysterdate which is in need of a service and wondering if it's worth the trip down from Dublin?

I'm from kilkenny but I haven't used him, there is however 3 wath makers in the city. There is also a new chap and I believe he worked for Rolex and is now living in the city. He is called the watch doctor! The other fella from vintage watch I can try and find out a bit about him, if that is of any use.

I'm currently away but I'll ask around next Monday. Kilkenny is a small place.
