Who here uses a tour bag?

I saw a young juvenile pushing a trolley at weekend and on it was a bag as big as himself. Was a funny sight!

I've never used one but they look very heavy and awkward.

The one thing I like is that there are only 6 dividers. I'm using a stand bag on a trolley at moment as I can't find a trolly bag with less than 14 dividers.

Who here has or is using one? Do you think they are good?

I've been contemplating one for a bit, the smaller tour one though.
Have an electric, wouldnt consider dragging one!

I use a "baby" tour bag, the Adidas one that Sergio has. One of the main reasons for getting it was it being waterproof, i had a TM cart bag beforehand and it did tend to smell after being out in a few showers. The bag itself isn't that much bigger than my previous cart bag, but the one thing i do notice is that its a lot more rigid in structure. So you can't just force it into the boot of the car.

Overall, i'm very happy with it. Plus i got it for a great price on Gold Store Europe :D

I'd like something bigger for summer as the stand bag i use is small enough. I drink a lot of water during a round and even just a couple of bottles alone seem to fill the large side pocket space. its very tight if i also have to take the waterproofs, etc. My ideal bag would be a trolley bag with 6 full length club dividers and a couple of more pockets would do me.

I had a TM one for a year. Very big and rigid but one day the push trolley broke its axle at the furthest point from the clubhouse. Had to lug it for 7 holes around and lets just say i have massive respect for tour caddies . Sold it for 10 euro less than it cost me and brought a titleist waterproof carry for same price.

I have an actual tour bag (Paul McGinley, 1999) and find it great with or without a trolley.

I used to have one, but downgraded to something smaller and lighter. Got a good deal on a Titleist bag that I'm really happy with.

They are obviously very spacious and waterproof, but can get heavy when you start to feel you need to fill the space. Lumbering on a hilly course, but on a relatively flat one don't see why not.

anyone seen any good deals on trolley bags recently?

Ideally i don't want to spend over €150 or so

    I have a 9.5 inch tour bag.
I had a 10.5 one before but it was just too fecking awkward.
The 9.5 ones are great IMHO but only if you are using a battery or if someone else is carrying it for you.

There is an element of shame when you take your lazer out of the tour bag and top or shank your approach. It takes a kind of thick skin to be over say 12-13 and use a tour bag but it doesn't bother me if I'm honest.

I have a Titleist tour bag. The Black and white one. Love it. It's bulky for sure. But on wet days I can load it up with loads of towels and when everyone else is drenched and their towels are soaked I can still dry my clubs with the beach towel I have stashed in the back compartment !!

No way I would carry it though.

It's probably not the most practical thing but it's an indulgence.
