If its not in by noon it will be tomorrow or later.
    I wonder what's happened.
Presumably those paid by cheque got it today.
    It's not acceptable.
Most of us have commitments timed for the 19th and 20th.
no point ringing glanbia as i assume its to do with the sepa payment system. Those who get the cheque it still wont be clear in their account for a few days.

wonder would it be possible for glanbia to send out a text about the payments?

Ah yeah but glanbia guarantee cleared payment for direct payments on the 19th of every month.
Also my account and I'll bet most give credit for cheques lodged straight away, ie you can use the funds.
Banks can set your account up that way.
You will pay a small bit of interest if your account would 've been overdrawn minus the cheque but you will not have anything bounce.
Stuff tomorrow will bounce if there's insufficient funds as that decision is no longer taken in the local branch.
Sepa has been running for months,I don't understand why this particular month on a week day now that it stops working.

was talking to a former icmsa president there, he reckons the milk price for May is gona drop 6-7 cent and further through the year. got 40.76 cent last month, wont see that again for awhile!

How's he going at the canvassing. Id say it'll come down in 2's or 3's. Conor Ryan reckons 33c for August cheque.

It always amazes me how price is talked down with such certainty like that, when no one knows what could be happening in 3 months time economy or demand wise...
I hate this lemming attitude  it's unreal.

what is your total cost of production

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 817 ✭✭✭Mulumpy

The only ones talking down the price are the customers of our milk products. Demand exceeded supply for twelve months so naturally the wheel is going to turn for a while.

Ya demand is looking good in the longterm, but collections in the US and NZ have increased so in the short term id say wer looking at a decrease. grand tho while the price was high!

6 to 7 cent in one go,not a hope.more likely to be a few ones and two cent drops.id predict price won't go under 32/33 cent before year end.tis gas the only ones talking down price is us dairy farmers which is playing into hands of processors.we really are our own worst enemy's..cartoon on page 2 of journal last week was funny
