No beard envy here. I sport quite a fetching one thank you very much. I have one due to being lazy however. Shaving is a hassle I don't need in my life. A once a week trim is grand for keeping from looking like a hobo.

I think it's the sudden explosion in beard wearing that might the subject of the OP's ire. It just shows that they don't really suit most men. For every fetching example that is well-groomed and suited to the face of the wearer, there are 5 examples of scraggly growth that look like a nest of matted pubes have been super-glued to a victim's face as he slept. Awful things.

And that's not even talking about the horrors of the neckbeard.

They kinda suit a certain type of person as well.

So when you see a young, skinny, fey student type gambolling down the road with a Ronnie Drew face rug, it just looks a bit strange.

Just seen a post about beards.
I’m 28 years of age and I can’t grow a beard for some reason, I can get a goatee going but never seem to grow hair on the lower cheeks or locks.
I always found this odd and I’m the only male in my family with this issue.

It can be handy as I don't have the shave frequently which is a blessing.

Anyone else unable to grow a full-on-beard? Do you think it's a medical thing or just genetics?

(I do have a pair by the way)
