Jim Root departs/removed from Stone Sour

    News breaking now and confirmed by Root that he is no longer a member of Stone Sour, but still seems to be in Slipknot.

    Apparently he's not happy about it at all. I can't help but wonder if this is somehow related to Joey leaving Slipknot.

    Any thoughts?

    As some of you might have heard by now, Stone Sour and Jim Root have indeed parted ways. We were trying to wait until the completion of the new SK album, but in light of recent events, we are going to confirm this information and move on. We feel it's best for both bands and hope that is reflected in the days to come. We will give you more information when the time comes.

    Very bizzare alright seems both bands are falling apart now, It would mean Corey being the only original member left if Jims not happy how could he maintain a strong relationship with him in the Slipknot camp? The original news awhile back was Jim would not tour as he was putting 100% into the new Slipknot album seemed odd at the time so I'd say its been in the pipeline all along.
