MBP won't boot up

    All wonder can anyone help.

    I have a MBP running maverick. Worked fine this week but when I went to use it tonight all I am getting is a black screen.

    When I hold down the the power key I hear noise inside but aim getting a black screen.

    I don't know what to do, I have a back up through time machine. But I don't know how to restore.

    Sorry for the lack of information but I am not the most technical guy when it comes to hardware.
