Still think the Spaniardss are a nice price at 7s. Although I think Argentina are their main danger with the attacking superstars that they possess.

I,m an Argentina fan since the 1978 world cup, so I suppose I am a bit biased. Having said that I wouldn't bet on anything with my heart and I honestly can't see beyond them this year, everything has fallen into place nicely at the right time.Brazil are false favorites IMO,only thing they have going for them is home advantage.

Yeah they even have an ok defence this time around with Zabaleta, Garay, Campagnaro and Rojo so are the main dangers to Spain. Agree about Brazil, but Spain's domination will last for one more year :)

Droidy, why don't you just marry Argentina?

    They won't win. :D

Brazil look to be stronger at the back than upfront which is very strange! I just don't think their squad is good enough and wouldn't like to be depending on Neymar to carry a country's hopes on his shoulders. His fine Confederations Cup displays are meaningless in terms of the WC pressure-cooker!

Argentina have an obvious chance but just couldn't trust them not to self-destruct. Messi and Aguero are different gravy but can't trust the latter not to pick up an injury.

A Brazilian to inspire another Spain win! :)

If the super argies don't win this years world cup I will run around this forum naked while singing zippity doo dah.....and I will buy every member a case of their favorite tipple :)

That provides me with a good hedge as I'm backing the Agentina/Falklands to win. If they fail, case of Frankinskaner Droidy, danke.

Aul lad has a nice docket, 200 on Belgium at 200/1 or something. I think they're a terrible price now though, he would want to be laying off.

Cave remember if one of the lads told me he'd a 3 figure price belgium or his brother did

    Nice one to have!

A few people were backing Switzerland at 250/1 before the draw due to them being seeds. Surely can't win it?

Very good ft9. For your reward I shall PM you with a winner for Dundalk on Friday night

That is assuming you like winners??

    I love em

Looks a good thing alright! Most of the horses in the betting aren't fit to lick Olympic Glory's sack.

That arse bandit Dettori is on him though. ugh.

What's the ground going to be like? If it was good I'd be happy to take a chance opposing him with O'Briens latest yank.

Thunderstorms, hurricanes, tsunamis, and downpours due I'm told.

Has Hughes not always kept the ride on it

    **** I'm thinking of toronado

Nope think that was Toronado. Dettori has rode Olympic Glory twice and it will come as no surprise that he has gotten him beat twice. Gave him a shocker in some race in France last season.

    Hughes is on Montiridge.

Dettori has been riding decent enough so far this season though in fairness. He was utter toilet last year.

    and Toronado's.

Get it??? Like Tornado's but I said Toronado cause that's the horses name. Hehe.

O'Brien's long odds against to even turn up I reckon. If Tullius is good enough to beat Olympic Glory I will give up racing, had a tonne on him the night he could only be seventh in a shocking Listed race back in November. Big jump to a Lockinge, though it is hardly the best gr.1 in the world

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 21,625 ✭✭✭✭Johner

O'Brien doesn't have a jockey booked for his. Looks unlikely to run.

Would be real ground dependent too
