There's always the ignore the feckin light option so. Is there a fuse for it? or stick on a bit of black tape so you can't see it :pac:. Some gremlins just aren't worth chasing if the car is running fine. Your head will be wrecked and you could end up wasting money that could be spend on better things.

Multimeters are handy enough to use. Your normally just checking for 12v/5v or continuity between one point and another. Mess around with a few batteries and bits of wire and you'll get the hang of one.

It could be, I'll look around, im thinking for the next nct, see? when funds aloow ill get one and mess about

Really? I'd always have thought that would be a big no no

Just being slow cúnts. Wrap was dispatched last Tuesday, still no sign, can't track either. I put back the gear stick surround in the car yesterday coz it was gettin to annoy me... I know that things take time from the UK, but I have a short fuse for these kind of things....

It's not exactly eBays fault. They have no control over when the sellers send out stuff. Anyway I'm sure it will turn up very soon. It has taken me about 10 days or so sometimes to get stuff from UK too.

I thought the same. Check engine light then became engine there light :pac:. It'll only fail on safety lights like abs, airbag and the like.

Nct doesn't test mechanicals of the car.
It'll fail on having an airbag light on but won't an engine light. In the same way it'll pass if the clutch is about to **** itself but won't if the breaks are about to

It'll only really become a factor when you go to sell it. Stick it the long finger for a while anyway.

I know I'd I'd be the same, just meant take your time and get the multimeter on the go before you go replacing more stuff and pulling wiring looms apart.

    Check engine light :(

I'm sorry, I must learn to dumb things down for people of your intellect :pac:
    1. Get piece of black tape
    2. Find annoying light that won't go away
    3. Cover light with tape
    4. You now have no problem.

    :P:confused::pac::D;):p:):rolleyes::o:mad::(:eek::cool:

I'd be more concerned for his suspension than his tyres if that's the rear. :p

They looked like the tyres I had on the 535d before I sold it.
But the 535d ones were the same as his on the outside and down to the bare metal on the inside.

She was given a good sendoff ;)
