I finished up in 12th which I am very happy about. Once this competition was touted it was one of my main aims to make the premier league, I was in the mid championship spots for most of the time but sunk to 46 before my good run started.
Looking forward to this next year.
As a note of caution I was involved in one of the Boards H2H leagues which were set up this year and finished in 8th despite being the second highest scorer of real points, I had 61 points and someone with 250 points less is only one point behind me with 60, there can be some strange results obviously.

It's all about consistency with a bit of luck in there too.

I had suggested this for the Champions Cup last year or even a system whereby entrants put in a fiver a head.

sounds like a good idea, missed the start of the champions cup and the sign up process so dont know how that worked, but for the fsa cup im thinking if all 80 qualify plus 48 extras to give it a workable figure, free entry and a small prize like that €100, sure ya couldnt go wrong.

I wouldn't even go with 48 extras personally (I'm not a fan of non-leaguers just like Greg Dykes or whatever his name is). Bottom ranked 32 play out the first round. In the second round you have the 48 top ranked enter to the second round, followed by a 3rd and a 4th round, then a quarter finals and so on.

yeah sounds good, im just thinking of the few regulars we have that didnt manage to sign up in the original qualifying league.... and ive been on to a few companys to try get your premiership sponsorship

Got 20th in the end from 6th when this was first touted, a bit like Newcastle went into free fall since the Christmas and went drinking for two of the last important weekends forgetting to do my transfers.
All in all happy to be in the to have made top 20 and looking forward to making my mark on the competition next year.
Having won the FSA Boards 6 Nations, a bit like Clive Woodward a change of codes will not deter my hunger and or ambition.:mad:

so close to the top 20, 4 point hit last day cost me 20th spot . techincally i finished top of the championship.... does that mean i'm promoted to the premiership for next season ?

I missed putting my name down for this initially, think im third on the reserves list. Out of interest, I finished on 2279 pts, which league would I have started in?

Premier League - More that 2362 pts
Championship - 2321 to 2361
League 1 - 2267 to 2320
League 2 - less than 2267

You'd have been 55/80 to League 1.

Ended up on a final points tally of 2340, 39,385 overall and 30/80 in this league (22 points off of the bottom of the premier league) Championship football for me next season.....

Got caught in my pub league on the last week, had been leading since week 9 but a mediocre finish allowed my nearest competitor to close the gap. A disaster of a week for games week 37 allowed him to gain 50 points on me....everything that could go wrong to me that games week went wrong. Finally lost the league by 11 points in games week 38 rueing what could have been if Sturridge, my captain hadn't of hit the bar...and Wenger played Monreal.....and...and...what if...

Anyways....I had some fun....let's do it all again come the start of the season.....

Not taking entries from this point onwards. 8 reserves should be more than enough.

Signups will be available from the day that the site goes online for a period that will be specified in due course. After which any available spaces will become available to reserves or for people to move up a league if the chance arises.

Any reserves that don't make it into Division 5 (along with anyone else who signs up before the closing of the August transfer window) will go into a Promotion League (classic format not H2H) where the top 3 teams will go into Division 5 (or Division 4 if we don't get 5) to replace the bottom 3 teams who will be relegated out of the league system altogether for being absolutely ****.
