xbox slim not turning on

    its not turning on, orange light on power brick, tried an alternative power brick with same result.

    what are my options......

    Did you buy it new? If so, when? Where from?

    Might be a bad ground, did you check the USB ports for bent pins. I'd actually open the console and check all input/output jacks are grounded to the shield especially the psu jack just to be sure.

    I wouldn't open it if it's still under warranty

    Ah good thinking batman, I always forget about the warranty. I'm just so use to opening consoles to find the problem and I forget that some may not know what to look for and warranty might be the best option for them if it still applies.

    definately not under warranty....

    would be surprised if it bent pins, cables are out of reach it does get moved...was working one day and not the next.....normally start it via the wireless controller....
