What age did you stop getting asked for ID?

Noticed over the past while, unless its all the stubble on my face, but buying alcohol cigarettes or whatever I rarely get asked for ID, find it somewhat intimidating I'm only 20. :P

Same age as you. Unless I'm with other people my age I rarely get asked for ID. That's handy now, but I know they'll have the last laugh when they're in their 20s and I'll look like I'm in my 30s

I am 22 and got asked the other day for I.D when buying fags, the guy said, "you look about sixteen"

And they say smoking causes skin to pre-age

Still get asked on occasion in nightclubs and off licence's outside of my locale. I'm 25 soon to be 26.

They can't be too careful these days in fairness, especially off licence's considering what they face if they got caught. If you're under 30 or anyway fresh faced looking you need to have your ID on you on a night out.

Was buying alcohol in Tesco a few weeks ago and the girl at the check out asked me for ID. I thought she was joking. She insisted. I was searching for my student ID and babbling away about how she had made my day. Told her I was 40 last September and my son is nearly 20. She eventually believed me, just as I found my student card.

At almost 23 I still get asked pretty much everywhere here. Got asked once in 5 months when on Erasmus in Austria. Their lower drinking age of 16 for beer probably had more to do with me not getting asked than me being 21 though.

29. Got asked yesterday by some polish wan in aldi. It happens alot and I def look older than 25.

Remember getting stopped there once years ago, showed my Passport to only get told they cant accept Passports just Age cards???

Tesco used to have that rule but drivers license always did the job. Only got the new card DL so it is better now.

Haha was that more annoying that you had to produce ID or more of a compliment that she didn't believe you at first?

21 and still get asked, although last time it happened the young man in the off licence apologised profusely and got all nervous and shy after I showed him my ID which was funny. Poor lads.

I'm 21 and always get asked. A few weeks ago I was buying spray paint and the woman wanted ID to make sure i was over 16.

I'm almost 21 and still getting asked, which is fine by me as I'm young looking anyway.

A few weekends ago I was on the way into a nightclub and the bouncer accused me of editing my license to say I was born in '93. I asked him if I was 17 why would I have a full license issued almost three years ago, or change my DOB to say I was almost 21? Felt like a right boss so I did

Not sure, early 20's I think.

I think during the teenage years girls look older and more mature and get less hassle getting into clubs than boys but as lads get older and start shaving and grow taller it's the ladies who get asked for ID more ofton.
