My only response to that is:
It is incorrectly noted that Thomas Edison invented 'push-ups' in 1878. Nikolai Tesla had in fact patented the activity three years earlier, under the name 'Tesla-cize'.

From an industry analyst. Seems like good news.

    Best Price for Wii U?

After a number of years in gaming wilderness due to pretty much having no time with small kids, work and other interests I recently started playing my Wii again with my 4& 6 year old daughters. Had forgotten how much I enjoyed it. Always a nintendo fan-boy had all the consoles from the Snes.

Was going to just pick up Skyward sword and a motion plus controller so I could play Mario Kart with my kids. Started looking then at Wii U that the remote would be bundled with it. Thinking now I'll get a Wii U and get MK8 and use the download to get Zelda Windwaker.

Best value from looking around is Smyths if I can find one in stock is the Premium with Nintendoland for €225. €84 then for MK8 & Wii Party U with remote. I've tried three store now showing low stock so it may not be available.

Next option is the Basic 8gb with Nintendoland an Party U and remote for €240 from smyths. Another €47 then for MK8. No delux premium discount then though and I'll need to buy an external HD at some point as well.

Next option for a nice bit more money is to wait for the MK8 bundle for €300 and buy party u and remote for €37. No nintendoland though which looks like it's good fun for the kids.

Any one know of a better option? Or any one in the know if any smyths stores still have a Premium left for €225. Pity I missed the tesco pre order on the MK8 bundle.

if your planning on playing with the kids(like I do) get a super mario 3d bundle it's a great game and the kids love it, then get mario kart 8 for yourself. I've been playing mario kart wii with my 4 year old recently and she gets bored of loosing all the time it's quite a difficult game to master.

P.s try get a black 32gb console it looks better and you will need the space for your free game when you get mario kart

I love my white one with a terabyte drive hooked up to it for all those demos/games.

White ones on adverts are usually cheaper. If you have any old hard drive lying around you can get it to work with the wii u and have all the storage space you need.

The latest NVC podcast on ign has them talking about MK8, the review copy. Seems they can talk about it but just can't give it a score. But basically they say it's awesome

Stay away from the white Wii U. It's a turd! Black 32GB is the way to go. Any bundle will do.

About new Wii U games being shown at E3, taken from another website:

"Iwata did not go into specifics as to what those Wii U games might be, he only said that the games are “designed to introduce players to the value of the Wii U GamePad”. Some of the rumored Wii U games for E3 include a new Zelda and Metroid game.

"He added that all of the new Wii U games are developed in-house at Nintendo with their first party teams, and all of them are overseen by Shigeru Miyamoto. Iwata said that the Wii U titles at E3 will represent games that are “near completion” and games that are also “in early development”

The in house bit may refer to titles that may have been dormant for a while, Starfox, F-Zero etc. There does seem to be rumours of brand new IP's being introduced though, I wonder if that one Miyamoto talked about last year will make an appearance.

    Why??

Exact same machine except for 32gb v 8gb.
That's redundant if you have an external drive attached.

    I have now purchased a Wii U.

Have New Super Mario Bros U + Luigi U and Rayman Legends. Will be getting Mario Kart 8 at the end of the month as well.

Quick question how does this friends thing work? I know the wii isn't the most online of machines but can you message/chat/play online etc?

Wouldn't mind adding a few people from here (so that Ill use the damn thing!)

When you have your NNID set up, post it here or in the friends thread and we'll add you back. No friend codes anymore and best way to do it is through Miiverse.

Not true. I think there's no sensor bar but there's definitely no cradle or charging stand for the gamepad and no stands for the Wii U. The extra 24 GB's makes a big difference. I want to avoid a HD for as long as possible and that's more money.

Just for the novelty of it. This is a rumoured line up of playable games at E3. It doesn't sound true, mainly because the Zelda title 'Shard of Nightmare' sounds a bit made up. But anyway...

Also, why would MK8 be in it?
That would be nearly 3 weeks old at the stage, wouldn't it?

They'd do we'll surprising us with a new Mario game as well. If this were the real list I'd be disappointed

SotN 2?? I'd buy that for a dollar!!!

Misread 'shard' as 'shart' and I'm guessing I won't be the last 'til it's debunked.

The list sounds like a load of crap. Xenogears origins, sure when square own the xenogears license. Konami have distanced themselves for the castlevania Iga-verse so sotn 2 seems unlikely. If they do go with it it will be a cheap cash in by a third party developer.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 55,684 ✭✭✭✭Mr E

Zelda would have top billing on the Nintendo list, not 2nd last.

    Still want SOTN2 though. :(

It's an alphabetical list... :pac: :D

I'd take that list with a large pinch of salt as well, some would be great, but some are just not going to happen.

    [edit]

Also, if BG&E 2 is Xbox One exclusive, I'm gonna be seriously upset.
