What are the 49rs at, according to Eisen they gave up what they received to move back up so they essentially traded down one spot for nothing?

That's a great value pick for San Francisco.

They got a 4th round pick next year for moving down 1 spot and giving up a 7th round pick.

    Draft ninja indeed.

I really like Jean-Baptiste. Saints have done well there.

not looking forward to playing against the Saints in week 1 after seeing the defensive backs they've got this offseason

Presume we are looking at a guard here for the Colts with Costa retiring? Louis Nix still on the board, BB could take him if he gets past the Colts. I'm very surprised he has dropped this far.

Was hoping we'd take him to be honest.

James will be gone I think, Gore is coming to the end soon. Sensible pick from the 49ers for the Gore reason alone. The 49ers also run the ball more often than the vast majority of teams in the NFL as you know.

Two 22 year old RB's now in Lattimore and Hyde who will get a couple of seasons to learn from and back up Gore. Very promising at that position for the 49ers.

Gore was as good as ever last year but running back performance can fall off a cliff from one year to the next. I think it's the main reason they don't get the big contracts anymore.

His knee must be putting off a lot of teams.

Knee you say? Sure that's grand, us Pats will take him to go with the double ACL we picked last night.

Just seen on NFL.com the Jags have traded up for the Niners pick here in round 2? Looking for a C surely?

I get that but we have virtually nothing at cb right now. Culliver acl plus constantly getting arrested, Rogers and brown gone to Oakland. Traded our next pick now too.

Allen Robinson and Marqise Lee. That'll help out Henne/Bortles.

Yep. It wasn't him but Robinson is a lovely pick at this stage. Whatever about the QB, neither of them can say they haven't had a chance when the Jaguars are giving them these weapons.

The Bortles pick is eating away at me but great draft so far apart from that IMO and for all I know he might turn out to be a great pick :pac:

I sse the Jags are going with a new offensive formation next year.

WR WR WR WR C WR WR WR WR

    QB--RB

O-Line looks much stronger than recent years. Sure Toby Gerhart is practically a Guard.

Someone like Desir or McGill would be a decent pick when your next one comes around, if either are still there.
