excellent pick by the raiders, Carr stays in California

Yeah, I was expecting them to do something foolish this year again but it seems like a pretty solid draft so far.

Carr is a great fit for the Raiders. Really hope he does well.

His throwing motion looked nice, quick release.

The raiders fans seemed happy with that pick.

Good landing spot for Carr there. I imagine Schaub will be the starter unless/until he implodes.

    Pretty underwhelmed by that pick.

Isn't Schaub only under contract for a year? Good situation for Carr being able to sit behind him for a year. I hate when poor teams have to throw rookies in at the deep end.

Schaub is a good QB, def will give Carr at least 1 year on the bench

He can make all the throws, no issue there. My worry for him is when the pocket gets messy. He struggles quite a bit when that happens. I'm unsure of whether that can be fixed sufficiently, but if it can he should be fine.

Schaub being there allows him a year to settle in too which will help.

FYI for those that don't already know, the draft is being streamed free of charge on nfl.com

Love this pick. Not desperate for TE and not many Safeties left. Lots of RB's later. Went top of the board.

Falcons staff coached him at the senior bowl

Was hoping Hageman might fall to 51 or Bears would move up. Oh well. Still some more options before I get nervous.

Jernigan might be an option if he's still there?

"The hard part is over" exactly what you want to hear a draftee say... Classic Falcons.

Jenkins, Evans and Jackson. NBA or NFL? :pac:

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,906 ✭✭✭Barney92

ASJ and Evans. They are really giving their qb a shot. And the Seahawks have traded down again.

Absolutely love that pick of Marqise Lee by the Jaguars. A yards after the catch machine.

Another good pick for the Buck. S-J will open up the field for them and with their wide outs that's serious. It's all about Glennon now, no excuses for him this season.

****ing delighted with Marquise Lee! Get in!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,645 ✭✭✭phatkev

    bollocks there goes Lee

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 37,978 ✭✭✭✭irishbucsfan

He's going to be a great Buc, but I'm not sure it's the right pick right now. We NEED an offensive line player tonight. I think if Su'a-Filo was there ASF would not be a Buc.

Still, can't wait to see what we can do with the passing game this year.

    Nice coat/tux. :pac:

Jacksonvilles WRs are pretty solid now!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,592 ✭✭✭Tristram

Last time a QB/WR pair went in first/second round to the same team?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 149 ✭✭SimmerDean

Bortles and Henne needed a pick like that.

Josh McCown is the starter in Tampa. Lovie benched Glennon already, but that's not to say we won't see him at some point.

I thought Lee was a really good one but for him to drop to the second round you just have to wonder if he really is going to be as good as many of us thought.

Edit:And then he goes and impresses the hell out of me with that interview.

Keep in mind Blackmon isn't expected to contribute this year. Was a much needed pick.
