    or the modern equivalent
if a run is not recorded on Garmin\Polar (for an individual) did it happen?

one could question whether a polar recording is sufficient proof of the existence of said run. it may just be sign that said run may happen at some point in the future, but not at the stated time

Has anyone ever done this successfully?

I've a few traumatised small people, who disappear when I approach with a swim cap...

  • Subscribers Posts: 19,421 ✭✭✭✭Oryx

@Izoard. Why do you wear a swimming cap?

    /runs

    /runs

Oryx, here in the city, our pools insist on caps.
However, having been in the Courtown pool recently, clothing is apparently optional in Wexford :)

I've actually been kicked out of the TCD pool for no cap, thus proving I've a luxurious mane, hiding somewhere...

You actually got into the pool in Courtown?

    /runs even further

I've never understood the compulsory cap rule- 1% of your body covered while nobody cares about your gorilla-man like body hair?

Still- at least it's not as bad as those mandatory speedo rules in pools in France. Anyone else end up having to hire some?

Pas de speedos, pas de swimming. They came plastic-wrapped for freshness, and were cheaper than buying a pair.

They sell used underwear like that in vending machines in Japan. I see a possible new market opportunity!

Okay, so what's the rule regarding kids who are not potty trained and diapers in pools over there?

A lot of pools don't have any signage up on this (in Galway anyway). Those that do state that swim nappies are required up to a certain age, which I can't remember. None of the pools I've been in check or enforce this. It's down to the parents really. I still put swim nappies on Finn even though he has been potty trained for 8 or 9 months. Better safe than sorry
