Handicap

Hi
Myself and a few friends joined mountain view in kk recently and had to put three cards in for the handicap (havnt had a handicap since was a junior member about 16 years ago) and I am playing the third round this sunday.

I am just wondering how the whole cutting works. I will be playing every weekend in probably different courses and do I hand in every card that I fill or does it have to be in a competition or classic etc?

Singles competitions are what affects the handicap. If playing at other courses, it would only be open singles which would count, generally there is a computerised system which calculates the handicap once you submit your card

You can hand in society rounds etc if you want for hc secretary to review but no guarantee of anything on them impacting your handicap.

As below only scores in competition conditions will be used generally for handicap purposes & these days that's pretty much all automatic

That's only partly true denis, single comps are the only comps where you get automatic handicap adjustments (excluding society golf) but you can get cut for all forms of golf including fourballs, team events etc. excluding inter club golf afaik.
Not alot of golfers are aware that it's the players responsibility to report any notable scores in societies and away courses, notable been described as any score that beats SSS and finishing in the top 3 places in team events. There should be a sheet provided on your clubs notice board where you manually fill in the details yourself.
