    Need to be about scratch to + 4.

    Was there last year. Again wind the same . Nightmare out there in this.
    Will miss it this year due to work.

    Well worth a trip. To remind you how **** we are at golf.

    Watch out for young Le Blanc .

    See lads in scores of late 40 s coming home. That event there in that wind can break the hearts of great young golfers.

    Fascinating and sad to watch too.

    No Moynihan - guess College dictates his schedule now.

    It's 4 rounds of stroke play, no match play in this? Presume there's a cut for the weekend also?
    If just stroke play then I think it's a fairer competition that the multiple rounds of match play following the stroke play qualifiers you get in the regional championships.

    Cut after 3 rounds. There is Matchplay in the Close but not in the Am Open.

    3 rounds and then a cut for the final day. Only the top 50 and ties make the cut.

    No matchplay.

    Anybody get down there over the last few days.

    Conditions must have been brutal - unlucky again - as I'm playing down there in am (St. Annes) and conditions look perfect.

    Some great under par rounds - 68 from McBride - he seems to be improving all the time.
