the other night my girlfriend and her best friend and myself were all round having few drinks,I had few glasses of rum and coke but nothing much, and we were sitting outside and next thing i got unbelievably cold, so i go inside and jump under the covers in hr bed( i am wearing all my clothes and a waterproof jacket) and my body starts to change temperature from hot to cold every five mins,and my legs start shaking uncontrollably and i was wired like i took E.I got ridiculously paranoid, The two girls say they did nothing,
I am just wondering is there anything that would cause me to act this way?? I have smoked weed,drank and took E at same time and not felt this ****ed up,it was strangest felling and only slept 3 hours in next 24 hours

Rubbish. I all the years I've been going out getting hammered and all the people I've been drinking with I've never heard of anyone getting "spiked". Its nonsense. What would they put in your drink that would cause you to black out anyway?

did you think your girlfriend spiked you? or someone who works in the rum factory?

did you check for empty pill bottles in the bathroom?

would your girlfriend have any reason to spike you with sleeping tablets? maybe it was to get you out of the way so she could get off with her friend?

the only reason i think i think i was spiked because i was fined and then this hit me like a brick wall , you could feel the temperature changing , it wasn't just a sensation, i never seen any sleeping tablets and my girlfriend was drinking out of the same bottle, i just need to know what happened to me??

was it the liquid coke or the sniffy coke you were mixing it with?

how much were you fined? what did the ticket say?

do you think it's a coincidence the op was also drinking rum?

Sometimes, for whatever reason, your body will react badly to drugs, whether that be alcohol, weed whatever. Amounts that other times would be fine can make you feel very sick/disoriented. It could be that you had a health issue that you weren't aware of which triggered off the reaction to that particular ingestion of alcohol. That health issue could be temporary or more serious, such as low blood pressure. Very unlikely you were spiked. Might be no harm to have a GP check you out. Also, when you say 3 rum & cokes, how much rum was in them? Pub measures or doubles/triples. You might have had more than you realised.

If your blood glucose drops down it can feel odd - if you don't know what's happening it will understandably freak you a bit

The jitteryness is just adrenaline and a few more things your body releases to try and rectify the situation

It worked well in your case - you went from being outside to safe under the covers

Alcohol hinders gluconeogenesis - because of the dismal rate of evolution your liver will keep itself busy processing alcohol ( and emptying your pockets ) instead of taking a break and bringing your blood glucose back up

It could be any number of other things too though

Strange thing ( I can measure this cos like many more have iddm ) - certain kinds of exercise will only "hit" you the next day
I could be just sitting there and it will star to fall.
If I was sitting with ye drinking say rum and diet coke it might fall way down , with nothing to "catch" it - if
