Defo agree. Cork people are in the whole lovely, saying that as a kilkenny man always get on great with cork people.
Dublin I'd have to say far less so. Some dubs can be very hard nosed with a silly sense of superiority vs those of us "from the country".

It is the largest county geographically and the second most populated with over half a million inhabitants.

It is the only county that regularly wins All Irelands in both hurling and football. It has the best supported soccer team in the country.

It's scenery is nearly as nice as Donegals but it has far more little villages and nice towns dotted all around it which makes it more fun to explore compared to up there.

John Spilliane wrote a song about her, also from cork.

Spillane did a good job on the song but it is actually a poem originally written by Patrick Galvin.

I dont know if Spillane is referring to the same woman in that song, but I did find a reference to her online:

‘The madwoman of Smoketown paraded in her white cowgirl suit, sequins aglitter, and directed the sky traffic of angry gulls.’

She'll be coming around the mountain when she comes refers to Cork born organised labour leader, 'Mother Jones'.

She was a little old lady and amazing orator who rocked the American elite and was known as 'the most dangerous woman in America' (in a good way).

She had a huge impact in improving workers' rights in the US and is probably one of the most significant social reformers in US history.

It is the largest county geographically and the second most populated with over half a million inhabitants.

There are about 620,000 people in Co Antrim who might disagree.
It is the only county that regularly wins All Irelands in both hurling and football. It has the best supported soccer team in the country.

Senior All Irelands? Seven Football titles in 126 years is hardly regular.

Nice scenery in Cork and Donegal true enough. But everyone in the world agrees that Connemara and the islands off the Galway coast tops the lot !

A friend of mine who lives there put it well - "overconfident with nothing behind it".

Even look at thread - "diden't".

Overconfidence is great for certain things, but reality hits them in the face, when they go to a real city.

It is just 2nd city syndrome - most are aware - sadly some think the stuff they come up with is real "like".

Smart people from the place - there are a few if you look. Are just awfully embarrassed by the whole "Cork is great thing".

That Real Capital thing - was actually the most embarrassing moment. I was thinking - they actually believe their own bull****. Was a real celtic tiger thing too. T Shirts and websites, was there a bloody Cork Independence day at one stage
    "Jesus".

The only good thing is, the people are fun and the county is stunning. But they sort of ruin the place with this rubbish.
