Really tempted to change the timing belt on the GTI myself. If it wasn't a pig of a job and a terminal failure if I do it wrong, I'd be all over it.

I thought you were selling it?

Cannot find it for the life of me!!

    Wallet? Glove box?

If only you could call it and listen to where the sound is coming from. :p

More cool sightings in Warsaw today
    - 1M Coupe
    - 911 Turbo
    - New S500
    - R8 V10
    - 135i M-Sport

And it's not even 1PM :pac:

    Shame I was driving

135i, sorry for double post, but I can't add an attachment to a post I made already

I was. I had it up for 2 weeks, and the only response I got was "how much is the tax and insurance". Given there's too much going on at the moment for me to spare the time and effort to sell it properly, and there's not really a lot out there I would replace it with, we decided to keep it. The main reason for selling it was to cut costs, but other measures are going to make the redundant anyway.

There's nothing worse that that. How the **** are you meant to know what their insurance would be???
The only way you'd shift it fast is trade it in, but then you'll get screwed on the trade in.
I know where you're coming from. I'm dreading selling my 156, big engine (by irish standards) and a 12 year old alfa don't go hand in hand with a quick sale. Only want to sell it because I want a 166 3.0 super.

I think that's a 1M rather an a 135i. All the M models have 4 exhaust tips whereas the 135 and 335 have twin tips.

It could be an M135i though!

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 3,354 ✭✭✭Sobanek

1M only came out as a coupe though. I'm confused!

    It's a US-Spec if it helps

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 19,920 ✭✭✭✭MetzgerMeister

Ah jaysus it could be anything then!! :pac:

Good point about the coupe whereas that's a vert. Could be a 135i vert with an aftermarket exhaust system.

Straight six turbo, so definitely not a 120d :pac:

Serious mileage on it. Would you mind telling me what 'felt spec' or 'felting it' mean? It's been bugging me for a while and I still don't what it means.

    I've tried the following..

    Both cars top to bottom.
House including every press, cupboard, etc.
    Rang friends.

Looks like I may order a new one!!

Now this morning went out to fix a little oil leak on the Astra and just touched off a pipe coming from the thermostat and broke the connection coming out of the stat. Trying to mend that now too!!

By any chance would you have been in a certain "state" over the weekend that could cause you to lose the licence? :P Is it the card or old paper type?

No no not at all, I remember it being in the glove box of the BMW a few weeks ago but the fairies got it I think!

How full is your glove box?

It might have fallen down the back of the dash ;)

'Felt spec, is abbreviated from "Magherafelt". It's basically where you see ridiculously stupid mods done to mostly VAG cars. Slammed, camber, RS4 TDI kits, GT TDI badges on 90BHP golfs, window visors taking up half the screen etc

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 1,305 ✭✭✭131spanner

German plates, massive visors, 19" alloys, lowered to the bálls on coilovers, letterbox exhausts, "coo" and "boo", Nurburgring stickers... Did I miss anything? :P

Quick question: What would you expect to pay to get a spoiler sprayed and bonded on? It'll be primed beforehand. Your average Toyota silver, nothing mad fancy! :)

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,925 ✭✭✭GvidoR

I agree that all of those are wrong except slam/camber... what's wrong with that? Stance bro, hahah. :P

    And German plates?

I went for that aswell and found that it can't. It just ends up on the floor as it has nowhere to go with the cd changer.

I have thoroughly checked everything and must concede defeat :(

Yes at this stage they must be added. The only reason I want to see a german plate is if I'm stuck behind some relevant tourists :)

When I think about it its priceless :D

Why would you want to mimick the plates of another country?

To show appreciation for the cars heritage. :D
