...I speak to all of them everyday, yet none of them really know me.

The latest viral video, called "Look Up". Basically a motivating video to put down the phone and laptop and go embrace life in it's real form...little cringey but it's a nice video.

    So will you 'look up'??

I have no friends and have never known a moments loneliness. I'm happy in my own skull and with my family. I run a mile from people who want to be friends. I have dozens of acquaintances, but I'm happy to keep it at that - acquaintances. Emotional self-sufficiency is greatly under-rated.

I think it's stupid and ironic. For those too lazy to watch it - TLDR; Facebook is bad, don't go on Facebook. Btw, please like and share this video all across Facebook.

Facebook is like the nutritional equivalent of chewing gum, you feel like you're socialising(eating), but ultimately leaves you empty.

English kids cant go outside and play because their parents are too afraid to let them out. (in urban areas)

The man in the video has a few good points but not all of them are.

Its nice to communicate with friends abroad and facebook is good at that.

He's talking about Facebook, Whatsup, Boards and the rest of them though. I agree with much of what he's saying.

For adults, yes. But kids should be meeting other kids IRL.

I bet you're one of those who doesn't have a Facebook account so he can tell everyone he doesn't have a Facebook account.

I stopped it after 1 minutes, his boring monotone voice was grating on me. People know they're being anti-social being on their phone/ipad etc. I'm lucky enough to have friends and family who talk to me. I don't know hardly any people and I highly doubt is stalking my fbook page for goss.

I liked this video because the words at the end of one sentence use the same sounds as the words at the end of the next sentence.

Why is one form superior to another form of interaction? I watch a movie online then I go to a forum and discuss it with others or I go out to a movie and discuss it in the bar after, what's the difference?

That took its maker a serious amount of time and I would say a decent sized budget to do. Its a pretty well made video that, ironically, Gary is using the web to spread it on. 6 million views in just over a week!

So whats in it for him? Some more video directing will come of this Id imagine. Nobody puts in that kind of effort to something to get nothing in return.

That said, he is 100% on the money with his thoughts on social media

You'll awaken to a...world of confusion'.

    Mother of god

Oh my god, he really needs to stop rhyming.

And it's the usual when I was a child bull****.

It may be a bit cheesy but in fairness he does have some valid points, I'm not on Facebook but have been guilty of semi ignoring my family when checking boards and footy scores and what not. My auld fella reckons the smart phone has destroyed the good old pub arguement because every disagreement is solved in 10 seconds by the smart ass with the smart phone.

The only people I've seen posting this urban poet's nonsense are the same people who'd post on Facebook 24 hours a day, sharing their own Instagram selfies "post workout" and photos of their massive desserts. Forgotten all about Kony 2012, I trust.

I remember the times before the internet. It is better now. facebook friends are "facebook friends" -- I want to see what happens to them and keep updated on their life status. But for 90% of them, I do not want to be their "real" friend. They may be good interesting people, but I do not want to help them move into a new home or listen to their their sad stories or go for a drink with them at an inconvenient time.
