Does anyone have any experience with Ribble Bicycles. I am contemplating this one http://www.ribblecycles.co.uk/sed/road-track-bike/ribble-sportive-7005-shimano-equipped?part=SE14RIBSHIM7005SP&sub=conf_SERW

I have a very limited budget and the selling point of this is that it seems to be the only bike in this price range that comes with Tiagra groupset.

    Thanks

Ribble are a good manufacturer but some people have complained about poor/lacking CS and aftersales. No experience with them myself besides buying a few components from their website.

Just FYI I recently posted this in another thread, there are actually quite a few bikes out there at that pricepoint with Tiagra and even a tiagra/105 mix.

Because paying a grand for a tiagra equipped bike is a little over the top when there are several bikes of equal or better spec on the market for up to €300 less.

Like the Planet X RT-58 Alloy for €730 They have another bike with equal spec for the same price, the SAB La Rocca, if you prefer the geometry or paint-jobs on those. .

Or the SAB Classico Sram Rivel for €972 from Planet-x's website.

Or The any of these Ribble bikes which you can build to your needs and wants from as little as €650

Or the Ribble Winter Trainer/Audax for €707.

Or the Battaglin S11 with 105 groupset and Fulcrum Racing 7's for €823 from wiggle.

Or the Avanti Giro 3.0 with 105/Tiagra mis groupset, 105 shifters and rear mech, tiagra front mech and chainset, for €744 from wiggle.

Or this Colnago Strada SL in team Wiggle Honda colours with Tiagra for €1040 if you wanted to inflict a bit of frame envy on other cyclists.

I have a Ribble Sportive - carbon, bought frameset only. Have been very happy with it. Recently upgraded and will be sad to part with it.
