Hey everyone, was out recording some foley the other day and was wondering how do I assign a sound to each individual key, instead of simply placing it on the timeline is there anyway to have it played through the keyboard?

    Thanks

yes, it's easy: simply map the sample to a single key and also assign the root pitch to that key (unless you want to transpose); and set the sample playback to 'one-shot' - then a single trigger will play the entire sample. I've done entire shows like this - with Kontakt running in a DAW. You can easily do it with hardware samplers too, e.g., AKAI MPCs are kinda set up for doing that kind of stuff.
