I must be visiting the wrong AH all of these years so

I said the highbrows of AH take their Times with a cup of coffee. That doesn't mean all highbrows take their Times with a cup of coffee, or that taking your Times with a cup of coffee makes you highbrow. I know of an unabashed middlebrow who reads the Sindo whilst listening to Wagner for example.

    Rightio.

    Complete tossers.
    See, I knew you could!

Clarkson and his sidekicks are like little boys who have learned that feck is considered a rude word, and go around saying Feck, feck, feck in order to amuse themselves by causing offence.

I say this rhyme, I must be a racist.

In my opinion, until black kids stop saying it to each other then it's hypocritical to try and prosecute anyone else for using it.
It's not exactly equality if someone can say a word without punishment while another can not. (not that I go around saying it to anyone anyway)

MLK would be turning in his grave if he saw black youths calling each other 'nigga'

Their fan base can get very bitchy if you don't worship them. I've noticed the same kind of cult like fanboy stuff from people who follow Ken Early and the rest of the off the ball clowns.

    Whole other discussion though!

Clarkson is a complete ballbag though.

The fake outrage about this story is arguably OTT but it doesn't negate the fact that Clarkson is a shameful, boring little Englander. He's the loud mouth kid in the playground with his two little giggling sycophants, hiding behind his legs and laughing at his jokes.

They even have a poll on their website asking people if they think he should now be sacked for using the Eeny, meeny, miny, moe... rhyme off-camera on a Top Gear shoot. I mean ffs.

But it wasn't off-camera. You've even posted a video of it. It wasn't broadcast, presumably because the producers felt that the n-word was just a little bit too racist, even for Top Gear.

Clarkson may be pompous clown, but at least he is not of those types with the fake smile and brain dead attitude that everything is just so fantastic (see nearly every other broadcaster), he has an opinion and isn't a afraid to stir the pot.

I think he is along the lines of Frankie Boyle sometimes with his comments, just looking for a rise.

I just view Jeremy Clarkson as insufferable dick who is pretty much on the air to piss somebody or another off.

No he's not, that just it..

The last time the same sanctimonious clap trap was thrown at him and there were cries for his sacking he was taken so far out of context that it was a laughable. All people heard (during his appearance on the One Show) was him saying that Nurse Union Members should all be taken out and shot.

Which he did say, but.. this was because he had just said something good about them and then made the point that the BBC is supposed to be impartial on such matters and so to poke fun of that, he said something bad. It was that simple but feck all of the media covered that.

It can't be a lack of understanding that regularly has these sections of the media portraying people as racist. Surely they get context and no it's importance and so it has to be agenda driven.

Jim Davidson had the same thing done to him regarding the Chalky White character. Jim was telling jokes in a foreign accent. They jokes were about racism and so Jim must be racist and people bought it, millions of them and it became common opinion that they guy was a racist for years and no doubt many still see him that way but anyone that ever listened to the Chalky White jokes with an ounce of grey matter, would have understood that if anything Davidson was highlighting racism, not excusing it. Chalky was always the victim in the jokes and came across as nothing less than a just a vulnerable soft immigrant. It was the British police and British people that were portrayed in the jokes who came off badly, never Chalky.

Unfortunately Clarkson hasn't actually got any real charm or wit so he HAS to resort to being 'shocking' in order to get cheap laughs. He's a complete bore as far as I'm concerned.

By that logic, 90% of black rappers are anti black, having used the word in their songs.

the left on AH dwarf the right

which makes perfect sense as the left never get banned around here

Meh, the left are usually as racist/idiotic/classist/sexist/etc as the right that they complain about.

But it does annoy me how the left is seen as some sort of gospel to young college kids.

[QUOTE=LegsEleve}Maybe your losing your mind? Just a thought. [/QUOTE]

Hey, using that as an insult is insulting people with mental illness all over the world. And your not giving it the severity as it deserves.

I'm not a member of that community, but I know I can talk for them...

    Damn you Legs Eleven!

Why are we making this into the looney left vs the common sense right.

Can we all just agree that Clarkson is an arsehole?

Daily Mail left wing? That is so funny.

Every day they go on about people getting too much human rights, against immigration and hate the EU. That is not the work of a left wing publication.

Boring is something he certainly is not..........

He is one of rare breed that manage to break through on to TV and still have an opinion(most of bullsh&t, but that does not matter), we don't need all TV to end up "like the one show" or Breakfast TV

I wouldn't read any paper that is meant to be either left or right leaning. Anything with an agenda isn't trustworthy.

:o This may explain why I don't read any papers

You've just described nearly every British news website and news publication. I think the Irish ones are a bit behind on developing an agenda.

The poster was talking about the Daily Mirror being left wing, not the Daily Mail.
