    Plug it into the charger
    Hold the VOL DOWN key
While still holding the VOL DOWN key, press and hold the POWER key
Hold both keys down for over 120 seconds.  This is more than two minutes and will seem like a long time. You might want to time yourself to make sure you hold it longer than two minutes.
After holding the keys down for more than two minutes, release them.
The Flash Boot screen will display, and the Normal Reboot option will be highlighted
Press the VOL UP key and the device will start a normal reboot.
    UPDATE:

If you have tried the above and it didn't work, try this:

Plug in the phone for 15 minutes.
    Proceed to Step 2 above.

Have you tried all of the above? My brother had a similar problem with his Nexus 7 and this reboot solved it.

Very good price for 16GB but the 8GB is showing as 119 for me, which is 146EU at the moment according to xe.com

Edit: Ah I see what I did I selected sim free, it is 99 on vodafone, would an irish vodafone card work ?

As far as I know an Irish vodafone card wouldn't work.

Couple of years back I thought I was being super clever purchasing an o2 phone from eBay UK. I got a big surprise when I popped my Irish o2 sim into it!! :D

Unlock codes for the moto g can be got for as little as £2.04 on ebay. Then any sim will work in them.

probably been asked to death, but can it take a micro sd card for extra space ?

i might buy as a present, but think they would be very snap happy with photos and the 8gb would be of little use

Simple answer is no, get the 16gig version if you need the space...

I have one of these phones, amazing little device.

The only thing I will say is, get the 16GB, I'm constantly having to clear apps and photos off my 8GB. Nuisance.

Moto G has been a huge hit because of its battery......Nexus 4/5 had battery issues....

Very pleased with my moto g from bargain alerts. Battery is good for over a day with wifi, location settings on all the time and with regular use for texts, email, calls throughout the day and viewing internet in the evening (no movie watching so can't comment on extended screen use - which currently uses most f my battery power). I charge it overnight each night and regularly have 30-40% left at the end of the day, so I guess that makes me a light user.

Yeah. It's just, this reviewer said the battery "could be a lot better." She could be talking out of her arse, but I dunno.

Motorola launching new phone in two weeks (a phone for everyone), probably adding LTE to Moto G aswell.

That new OnePlus One Phone coming end of June/july aswell.
