    Amazing that people still use IE, Opera is a good alternative by the way.

    Opera is great. Maxthon Cloud Browser is also worth a look. Just dont get why anyone would still use IE. It makes no sense to me!

    Is this for users only running Windows XP and using IE or just PCs using IE in general (regardless of the version of Windows)?

    Surely if you have anti-virus software installed, that would block it anyway? Or is it just for those with more vulnerable PCs because they don't have anti-virus installed? :confused:

    It affects Internet Explorer versions 6 to 11 apparently i.e. all versions, so its a pretty serious exploit. Antivirus wont block it because its a vulnerability in the IE code. There'll be a fix out for it soon I'm sure, but not for XP machines.

    Anyone using IE anytime within the next 24-48 hours.

    No antivirus protects you from about 5% of bad things that can happen to you through the internet.
