Garmin Edge 800 question

Hi, quick question about recharging the 800 while it is being used. I know the 500 shuts down and resets activities when charging, does this happen with the 800? If it remains operational does the 800 continue to record data while being charged? As in can it be charged and record a ride simultaneously. Thanks for reading.…

It can be charged while working without any interruptions to navigation or recording. However you must use a charger or battery pack, if you connect it to a laptop or other "intelligent" device it will shut down.
