    Close but not quite. The AH rule is that, on any half decent thread, any post on the first page gets dozens of thanks. Thanks on subsequent pages follow the inverse square law.

    The way to gauge it should be by percentage, total number of posts divided by number of posts that were thanked. Number of thanks should be irrelevant.
    Mine is probably about 10%
    So 9 out of every 10 posts is pure drivel.

    We're both wrong
    3314 thanks in 4306 posts means only 0.77 posts have been thanked on average

    but the 21% ratio is more of a reflection of how appreciated I should feel.

    minus the pity thanks, which is (charitably) an additional 15% of all thanks that I get, this means only 778 of my posts should be considered as worthy of thanks bringing my self worth down to about 17%
