I found Cartell appalling when I used them, their data was off and when I queried it it took them over a week to send a useless response. Conversely, when I queried something odd with Motorcheck, they went away and checked several data sources manually to figure out out for me, well out of office hours. They've also been very helpful on Boards over the years.

I don't even know how they compare on price these days so I know I'm not really answering your question about price, but I'd never go beyond Motorcheck again anyway, unless I was spending big money. Which will probably never, ever happen. :)

And remember what they say about paying peanuts....

generally in the past i've only used motorcheck.

first time using cartell last week, not thrilled. it stated if the car was a UK import that they would do a separate UK history check and email it on to you... still waiting.

as above, price irrelevant (they are both quite competitive) i'l be using motorcheck again next time)
