deposit for SME Business account

Is it standard to ask for €600 deposit for a new SME account?
This is with direct debit option.
Apparently €1,200 without.

Hi cousin_borat,

Yes, €600 is the minimum security deposit for a SME account (with direct debit).

I have received confirmation of this just now also from the SME department.
