Just wondering, I could've sworn that brennan played in the middle most of last season and Forrester on the left but when I'm looking at stat it seems to suggest the opposite. Am I crazy or are these stats wrong?

    Cheers

Brennan played in the middle last season. He is probably not quick enough to play on the wings these days.

Thanks, that's how I remembered it but I had been starting to doubt myself :D

Forresters best position is part of the middle 3 he goes in there when one of the 3 is subbed.

Corks brilliant poster from last night.

I was in Cork just before the season started, they had some decent billboard advertising up around the city.

Rovers B beat Longford 2-1. Shels 4 points clear in the FD after 6 games. ****ing mental that we'll be playing Wexford again in 2 weeks already.

Far from ideal. Hard to see that situation changing anytime soon unless more B teams come on board. Any of the clubs who dabbled in the A championship will probably need to get involved in the underage leagues before giving any consideration to LoI football.

    2nd tier A championship
no league fees for 2nd tier teams, less travel costs
add ateams/new entrants to 2nd tier section if possible

    Premier (16)
Pats, Dundalk, Sligo, Derry, Shams, Cork, Limerick, Drogs, UCD, Bohs, Bray, Shels, Athlone, Longford, Waterford, Wexford

    Northern (8)
    Harps, Galway, Castlebar, Fanad,
    Sligo A, Derry A, Dundalk A, Drogs A

    Southern (8)
    Cobh, Carlow, Tralee, Tullamore
    Cork A, Limerick A, Pats A, Shams A

*the last A championship in 2011 had 14 A teams
    Last in premier automatic down,
Highest non A team; North v South winner automatic promotion,
loser v Second last in premier

Try getting people to Terryland or Finn Park when their playing a B team every 2nd match.

A merger of the first division and A Championship was touted but didn't get support a few years back. I'd like to see a Kerry team in the league so would have been for it.
That moment has past anyways for that to have been an option. The underage leagues is the way forward. There are plans in Kerry to work on the facilities at Mounthawk park and possibly enter a team into the U19 league later this year.

There are some very talented graphic designers involved with/supporting the club. Some brilliant, eye-catching posters being done:

Kevin Deery & Owen Morrison signed for Letterkenny Rovers, how the hell can a USL team afford those two?!

About 2,700 tickets each, so. It'll surely be a sell out, will it? Dundalk are capable of getting that kind of crowd at home and Tallaght's only about an hour down the road, and Sligo always bring a big crowd to finals in Dublin. The last few finals at Tallaght have had poor crowds - Drogs not travelling well and Rovers fans indifferent, with the novelty factor for both wearing off having played each other so often. Neutral venues in a different city/town brings more of a Cup Final buzz, so it'd be disappointing if this didn't have 5,000 minimum.

The novelty factor of finals in Dublin is beginning to ware off on us in the west. Crowds traveling to the other side of the country to see us win are getting lower every year.

    :p

Dundalk should/will/i presume sell their allocation.

What a strange statement to release. Giving out and expressing disappointment over not being allocated home advantage for a cup final? Weird.

Think we went full Dundalk with that statement, man. Never go full Dundalk.

Sligo fans opinion on the statement.

They could play it on mars for all I care as long as we win and get the prize money.

I just hate going to Tallaght/Dublin.

Athlone's Brennan brother went in goal for Athlone last night and saved a penalty with his first touch in their defeat to us (Limerick).

Why did Brennan go in nets? Was Sexton not available?
