Meh. One of them is 13. He just doesnt have any real interest in technology. My nephew is 14 and as much as he likes his iPad etc. he loves my old Megadrive, messing around with old PCs and playing records.

I don't get why they don't understand headphones. Or why it takes them so long to open the thing up. A chimp would have it working in less time. It might be covered in faeces, mind.

He asked me what it was, I told him it was how we used to listen to music when i was his age.
He took it from me, examined it very carefully....

They're not used to having to open things up to get music to play! You download it. No way of opening up an ipod to stick the music in!

yeah i thought that too, especially since ipods have headphone slots and cannot play music without them (unless you have those fancy ipod touches)

Think theyre all about "earphones" rather.. That or, in fairness, phones easily match mp3 players now in terms of music capacity and quality. So mabye the play-your-music-on-loudspeaker generation is still alive and well..
