recommend online store for a beginner

I am currently creating a website for someone using Joomla and they now also need an Online store. I've not done an ecommerce site before, so can someone recommend an easy to use and understand online shop plugin for Joomla please?

i did on online wordpress with woocommerce which was simple to use dont know any joomula plugins but had a quick search and check out the following link

dont know how easy or hard they are to use

Thanks for your help, I've seen a few in searches but just didn't know which was best.

Virtuemart is free and easy enough to use. Not used it since the Joomla 1.5 days though

A lot are on the same difficulty level. The problem will be user education. They have to learn. Help them to help themselves type situation.
